Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced mask data prep engineer who enjoys working in a small team environment. Service includes, working closely with Microchip teams such as Design, CAD, Photolithography, and Technology Development, to provided Mask Rule Checks (MRC), layer derivation and sizing algorithms, and developing and maintaining Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) models and verification.

In this role, you are responsible for developing advanced technology node OPC models and recipes used in Microchip's internal wafer fabs. Provide training to MCHP Mask Data Prep team on the proper use of the Calibre based OPC flow and scripts.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Key job responsibilities/duties include.

  • Develop OPC models and recipes for optical, resist and etch using Calibre nmModelFlow
  • Interface with lithography, metrology, and inspection
  • Implement production ready software in C+ for custom mask data prep projects
  • Calibre code development and maintenance of Mask Rule Checks
  • Internal/External customer support for reticle design
  • Very fluent in Unix/Linux environments
  • Skilled in writing and running scripts in any of the base languages

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • MSEE (preferred) or BSEE and 8.5+ years previous experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must possess excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and time management skills, self-direction, the ability to work under pressure and the desire to excel in a competitive environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and execute to completion
  • Understanding of the mask workflow (layout, physical verification, Oasis, GDSII, fracture software)
  • Proficiency with layout software tools like Virtuoso, Calibre, and CalibreDRV
  • Fundamental programming skills (Bash, Perl, Python, TCL, or similar languages).
